Boy Scout Troop 4673 meets in the Cafeteria of South County Middle School in Lorton (8700 Laurel Crest Drive, Lorton, VA 22079) each Wednesday night, from 7:30-8:30 P.M. Because we follow the Fairfax County school calendar, when school is closed due to weather or Holiday, we will not meet. Your son's Patrol Leader will keep him informed of any time or location changes. It sounds silly, but please make sure your son eats dinner before coming to the meeting; no food, drinks, candy, or gum is allowed during general Troop meetings.
Our meetings follow the agenda presented in Woods Wisdom (a / k / a Troop Program Resources):
The Scouts will open the meeting with a flag ceremony during which your son will be expected to salute, and stand quietly and respectfully at attention.
Once at the meeting, a Scout must ask permission to leave.
Our Wednesday night Troop meetings are a very busy time for the Scouts and the Scoutmaster and first priority at the meetings is to the Scouts. If you wish to speak to the Scoutmaster at length, please coordinate arrangements to come early or remain late.
